Happy 4th of July!

We decided not to go and watch the fireworks downtown this year. Neither of us were in the mood. We actually prayed for rain so the kids would not be upset. They did not care a bit. Jerry went to a local fireworks tent and bought a bag for us to do our own. We have already shot off the bottle rockets and the kids threw their snappers. We are watching the Macy's and Washington D.C.'s fireworks shows. When it gets dark enough we will go out and shoot the rest of Jerry's goodies.



Some of the snappers did not pop when hitting the ground so Sophie took care of them.

Saturday with the cowpokes

So we get up this morning and decided to get out around our town a little bit. The kids put on their full cowboy going out on the town clothes. We went to the Open air market and looked over the cool things farmers in Cheatham County had to offer. Jaden had ice cream made from goats milk and Sophie had Green Tea Lemonade. I bought some Citronella soap from a local soapmaker. Very fun.

Our next stop was the Co-op where all the little and (one) big buckaroos bought new sunglasses. Jerry told Sophie she looked like Hollywood. She told him she didn't want to look like Hollywood she was a rock star. He said, "You Rock".We stopped in our little thrift store and saw some of our friends who work there. Sophie found a new friend while we were looking around. His name is Fudge.

All in all we had a great Saturday just being together and being ourselves.

Jaden Gets Baptized!!!

Jaden decided Wednesday night on the ride home with his dad from church that he wanted to be baptized. Jaden asked Jerry if he (Jerry) was going to Heaven. Jerry told him that he was because he had done everything the Bible said.

Boy Scout Camp 6/2-6/6 Whew!

2 tables full of 31 boys that my friend Jennifer and I were responsible for.

Gentleman you may call me Mr. P and this is a BB Gun.... This is the muzzle....
The boys favorite things of the week were BB and Archery. Jaden has excellent form and aim! He is a natural.
Jaden really enjoyed Boy Scout Camp, and that my friends is what made the 90-100 degree temperatures and 31 little boys worth it all.

Sweet Caroline

This is the latest member of the Barlar family by way of Jonathan and Sharenda. Caroline Elizabeth Barlar. She is a sweetie pie! So glad she got to come see us.
