Today we are going to add a new habit to our before bed routine. Tonight before you hop in bed; I want you to pick out what clothes you are going to wear tomorrow. You can lay them on a chair, on a shelf or hook in the bathroom or on a hanger on your closet door knob.

Thrift store Thursday

My sweetie is on vacation this week. He came home early from hunting to take a nap with our sick little punkindoodle. I left. My first stop was at one of my favorite places in town. The thrift store...this is what I found. My boy loves shark books and for $0.10 I could not pass it up.

He was thrilled with it by the way.

All that for just $5.76. The childrens clothes are $1.00 per piece. The children's books are 10 for $1.00 and the memo board was $1.50. Now I just have to wash the clothes and find a sweet spot for the memo board. I want to put some embellishment on it ...any ideas?

Then I motored on into the big city to one of my other favorite places...This and That Thrift. This is where I found my deal of the day.

Garment bag marked $3.00 and today garment bags were 1/2 off. So I got out for $1.67. The best part of this is the initials are my dad's. And if he doesn't like it my cousin Deidra Lynn might want it. So score.

I also had to pick up a few groceries and get my oil changed but I did not take my camera to capture those moments. I know you are all dying to see the greasy fingernails of the mechanics. Sorry I will try to do better next time. What are some of your favorite stores?

19 years ago today...

19 years ago my youngest sister came into our lives. Her birthday is December 21, 1986 but her Easter birthday is April 15, 1991. Farrah I love you and so glad you are ours! Happy Adoptive Birthday. I remebered this morning that with Gabe's speech impediment he called her Pedah. I was Atin and Andrea was Ando. Love those two and very proud of who they are. Actually Farrah is probably tearing it up at IBC Music Conference right now singing the solo to the song she wrote. I love you!

Grocery Store Trips 04/15/09

My grocery budget for the next two weeks is $130.00 (this is for me trying to keep track)

Kroger was my first stop this chilly Wednesday afernoon. I also bought some scissors (didn't want to take time to cut my coupons out and thought I put my scissors in my bag) and got a free Kroger bag for designing one here.Kroger total: $30.02

Total Savings: $20.58 (70%)

Total OOP: $9.44

Aldi Total OOP: $28.04

Cream cheese is on sale for $0.79 and milk is $2.39

Publix total: $67.12

Total savings: $44.81 (70%)

Total OOP: $22.31

Total OOP: $59.79 remaing budget is $70.21

I will have to go back to the store tomorrow to get the few things I forgot. How I forgot Peanut Butter I don't know but I did.
