Happy Easter

The Barlar Easter pictures had to be taken at church this year. I had to leave at 7:55 a.m. and the rest of our crew did not have to be at church till 9:45. When I left they were still in jammies. So thanks to Kevin McManus we have a Easter picture with all of us in it at the same time this year. It was very cold outside this Easter. Lucky enough I didn't shop for Sophie's dress until 6:00 last night. We found a weather appropriate dress that had purple in it to match the guys. I thought I had 5 dresses to choose from until I went to lay everyones clothes out for the next day. UH OH! Thank goodness for TJ Maxx and the clearance rack.

Monkey see Monkey do

Day 4 of Spring Break was absolutely wonderful. Started out getting some Easter shopping out of the way. Met some friends for lunch and headed over to a new playdate sensation called The Monkeys Treehouse. We had a great time as you will see in the following pictures.

There really was a lot for the kids to do. After spending several hours there we had to almost physically remove them from the site.

Library Day

Today was VERY windy and rainy. Great day to have set aside to go to the Library. We went for storytime. We love Miss Susan. After she reads she always has a neat project for us to do. Today it was decorate cupcakes. I knew this ahead of time and made some eggless ones for Sophie.






After the Library we went to Whitts for lunch and enjoyed a BBQ sandwich together. We dropped off a bag of contributions to the Thrift store and left with another bag:) Came home and popped popcorn and watched part of Princess Diaries and then laid down for a rest. I think Jaden was the only one who actually went to sleep.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Day 2 of Spring Break involved a Cub Scout Go See It. We went to the Recycle Center to see where our trash goes. It was actually very interesting to see how they sort all of the different recyclables out. They had a fun activity for the kids called Recycled Bingo. The cub scouts all partnered up and found the items around the room on their list. Readers had a certain list, and non readers had their own list.

Sophie did very well and was very serious about her list.

Jaden and Eli found everything on their list. After they had their first Bingo they didn't want to stop.

After the Recycle center we stopped by and saw Dad for a few minutes. It was crunch time for him so we didn't want to hold him up to long. We went to ROSS to do a little warm weather wardrobe shopping. Found some great deals on Polo (Ralph Lauren) shirts for Jaden. I got 3 for less than what 1 would have been retail. YIPPEE! I love a deal. Actually 1 shirt was cheaper than I could have gotten at Wal-Mart. GO ROSS. Jaden was very happy that he got new clothes.

Needless to say after all of that running they were worn out.

Happy Green Day, Happy Birthday Sis. B and an apology to Bro. B

Sophie was running in church Sunday night and Bro. B told her "No running in the Church". Jerry took Sophie to apologize and she would not tell him and hid her face. I told him she would write him a letter and she said,"Yeah, I'll write you one tomorrow." So the above is that letter. Just in case you can't read it...Bro. Becton I am sorry I runned in church.Please forgive me.I'll try to do better and not run in church anymore. I took it to Sis. B's birthday lunch. She said she would give it to him for us. Speaking of the birthday girl...11 of us joined her to celebrate at Macaroni Grill (my favorite).

Sis. Becton had Happy Birthday sung to her in Italian by an Italian.
