Ahhhhh Saturday

We have been cleaning house today. I am a stay at home mom who is hardly ever actually at home. You can usually find me in a grocery store, a school pick up line, ballet class, church, tdot, etc... Most of my time is spent in the car....we live 20 minutes from everywhere. So today the whole family is helping me clean. Many hands makes light the work or something. Stress runs high with me until the house is actually clean. It is now clean so I am much easier to be around. The reason for stress is we have people coming over tonight for supper that have never been in our house before. Didn't feel right about closing doors on a first visit...although I did close doors last Friday night when all the audio/visual people from church came over to watch the YPG video. The guys probably didn't even notice that the doors were closed.

We are supposed to get some snow tonight. I am not counting on it. I do hope that we get snowed in tomorrow...I have a clean house and I would love to lay before the Lord in it for a little while.

I desperately need to clean out closets. Maybe now that the rooms are clean I can tackle those again. Goodwill should not be hurting for donations for awhile after I get rid of all of our treasures. Sophie is my only hope for a little organizer. Jerry, Jaden, and I find some things hard to part with. Sophie recognizes things for what they are things. She is very sentimental and loves cards but she keeps the most important things and lets the others go. I need to be more like her. Not just in things but in everything I need to learn to let more go. And then again there are things I should not let go, like cleaning the house for instance.

Happy Saturday . Enjoy. Cuddle up with someone you love! Snows on its way....maybe.

Be Still

I wrote earlier today about my falls last week....not sure why I needed to go into detail like that but for some reason it helped me ....I know I know I'm 5.

Anyway, something came back to me while I was washing dishes. Last week I had a devotional and a new chapter in a book I have been trying to read all year that were on the same subject on the same day. The subject was Be Still. I knew it was significant when I read them on the same day I just did not know why until I started washing dishes a few minutes ago. I have been praying for the Lord to help me with my patience problem. I know when you pray for something like that look out. I did ask for it not to be a severe lesson like I have lived through before but a simple straightforward help. Well I have been thinking back to those words since I read my devotion and when I get really upset or aggravated to just be still and then deal with the situation instead of going full force forward with my judgement, discipline, remark, or etc. Okay so maybe I need to slow down with the walking too. I fell both times because I was trying to carry to much, trying to do more than one thing at a time, and just plain not paying attention to everything around me. I will try to think more on this and write more later I do need to get back to the dishes:)

New Laptop YEAH

My sister delivered my new Dell laptop to us Friday night. So exciting. Finally I do not have to sit downstairs at the desk all alone when I need to get on the computer. I can be in the bed, at the kitchen table, watching Sophie play Barbie in her bedroom....oh the possibilities! Now I just have to go purchase PhotoShop CS4 and I will be back in business.

I keep falling in love with him over and over and over and over again

Okay so this should have actually have been titled I keep falling. Twice in one week. I don't think I have fallen for 10 years and then suddenly within 2 days I fall twice ...bad... The first time was Thursday night before Friendship Night. Had on my little coustume and was carrying my camera, purse (the size of the state of Maine), 2 cheese balls on 2 different platters, and I think something else. When to my utter suprise I start going down. Hard. Apparently my boot caught the curb when I raised up my foot. I look myself over dust myself off and start gathering up my stuff. Shaken of course. Get inside and try to do damage control on the cheeseballs. While I am taking care of this a friend of mine says why are you cutting off part of that cheeseball. I told her what happened and that I was okay. She informed me that I was bleeding (thankfully not on the cheeseballs:0) and she would take care of them if I would go find some band-aids. Luckily our Sunday School office was prepared for a cut and scrape trauma. My elbow had most of the injury my hand and wrist are nicely scraped. Okay so not fun but I was okay. Wrenched my back a bit but nothing serious.Whatever ...I got over it... a hug from my husband who was in route at the time of the incident did the trick.

On to Saturday night...Jerry was at the prison where he helps with prison ministry. I decided I would let the kids eat downstairs and we would watch a movie together. I made soup for Jaden and myself Sophie had pizza. Sophie carried her plate on down. I loaded up a tray with 3 drinks and 2 bowls of soup. I start downstairs. I hold the tray out and watch my feet as I walk down the stairs. I pat myself figuratively on the back for doing such a good job not sloshing anything around and go down the last few steps. Well I didn't make the last step. I thought I had already arrived at my destination of the den floor. I had not. I flew out caught my foot on the bottom step as I was coming down and then landed on my crumpled left foot. The most pain for 5 minutes I have been in in a while. I rolled back and forth screaming and crying with my kids watching. I don't like to scare my kids and don't scream and cry normally when something hurts me. This time I could not help it. I told Jaden to call Jerry's mom and Dad and see if they could come up. He did so very calmly, unlocked the front door, and came back and stayed by me. I tell you it was crazy I thought I had broken something severly and then five minutes later NO PAIN! It felt a little funny but not the gut wrenching pain from a few moments before. So I called my in-laws on their cell and told them I was okay....they were in the driveway by this time so they came on down and looked us all over real good. The funny thing is I did not spill a drop of food or drink. Not one. 2 bowls of vegetable beef soup and 3 glasses of tea and not one drop out of their containers. Thank you Jesus. My ankle was sprained (slightly) and swollen but today everything is pretty much back to normal. I am thinking I need to see a chiropracter just to make sure I am aligned right. Okay so not sure why I have fallen so much this week but I will be more aware of where my feet go in the future. Be careful little (or in my case large) feet where you go.
