Consignment Sale Happiness!

This my friends was the dress worth going out in a Tornado Watch for. I will say I checked the weather 38 times before we actually left and didn't see any threat. My storm chasing sweetie called when I was half way there saying we would be fine. So okay ,whatever, I found Soph's Easter Dress and it was only $8.00. I said Thank You Jesus and Hallelujah so much I had church in that gym.
Next to that lovely pink dress above was this gorgeous white dress. When I picked it up and saw that it was $7.00 I didn't pay much more attention to it I just knew it was going home with me for $7.00. Then I unbuttoned the overdress and found a gorgeous detailed underdress. I don't know who put these dresses in (and it was the same consignor) or why she marked them so cheap but God Bless Her!

Okay everything else will be a let down after those deals:) . Sophie really wanted this dress and it was as much as the first two combined. Oh well it fit her and was long enough so it was definitely worth it...so cute too.School jumper not glamorous but a good deal for a Parker uniform $12.00.Needed a couple of cardigans to go over sundresses for church and I think she can use them for school too. If not I can always use a couple of white cardigans.

Could not find any clothes for Jaden but he really wanted this and since my arms were loaded down with things for little sis I could not refuse him. Okay so maybe I should have asked him to choose something a little less destructive than a volcano. I will let you know how this all works out.
All in all I think I did really well leaving with all this and only paying $59.00. I'm just so happy that Sophie is taken care of for Easter I can not even describe my joy. I bought some lovely material to make her something out of but now the deadline is off. YAY! I hate deadlines and I have one right now I had better get started on. Thanks for looking through my finds with me.

Harris Teeter trip #2

Yeah I could not resist. Had to use those coupons up they were burning a hole in my pocket.

Now I am going to go pass out into a deep sleep. Then I am going to stay out of the grocery stores for a while. Freezer is full cupboards are full. God is good. Goodnight.

Harris Teeter, Publix, Aldi, and K&S Market kind of day

Did a little grocery shopping today....

First stop Harris Teeter and triple coupons. They were out of alot of things I went for...no big surprise there. The good thing is most everything in this picture was free. The lunch meat and cheese were buy one get two free...everything else was $0.00.

My total was $49.86
Savings of $37.91
Total OOP (out of pocket) $11.96

Then headed on to Publix to get a few of my favorite things that just happened to be BOGO

My Publix bags were free...but I messed up on the coupons with the mustard. I thought I was getting it for free. I had just left Harris Teeter and triple coupons to $.99 and I did remember that Publix doubled coupons but I wasn't thinking cleary about the amount. Publix doubles up to $.50 and my coupon was $.75 not a big mistake but I could have done better.

Total $47.41 Savings of $28.25 Total OOP $19.16

Now off to Aldi and a few necessities.

No coupons here but baby carrots were $0.49, Milk was $2.39.

Again no coupons but really good prices. Jerry loves these flour tortillas.

Without savings at Harris Teeter and Publix OOP would have been $130.72 still saved over half.

May run to another Harris Teeter tonight to see if they have any of my free stuff left. Maybe not. Little tired lots of things I need to get done tonight...but it sure is fun to get things for free...or almost free. If you need any toothpaste ...seriously call me:)

Third skirt and third blog of the day...I must have a fever:)

These are becoming addictive....too easy!

Two in one day....yay! And yes I cleaned up the kitchen. Took the trash to the dump. And did a load of laundry. My in laws took Sophie this afternoon on their errands and picked up Jaden from school..... so I had a little time that I usually spend in the car to create this little red and white wonder. It's a wonder I made it:0 Now I need to go and finish sending an order into my lab, get the clothes ready for the consignment sale, and figure out what we are having for supper.

Lazy Days Skirt #2
