Registration for school tomorrow!

Yuck! I am not ready to get up at 6:00 every morning. I am not ready to give up being with my kids and doing whatever we want whenever we want. It is 100 degrees and nobody should have to go to school during the summer. I know cry me a river. Whether I am ready or not registration is tomorrow starting at 7 a.m. YUCK YUCK YUCK. Friday is their first day. A full day at that. We are heading out of town as soon as the kids get home from school for a campmeeting in KY with great friends...so that will make a yucky day a YAY kind of day. Very thankful for the teacher Jaden has this year, have heard great things. She loves science and is great with boys...very important to my boy. Sophie has some of her favorite kindergarten friends in her first grade class so she is very happy. So I guess I need to go to bed YUCK because I have to get up at ...well early...YUCK. Okay, I'm done.

Kairos

Learned a new thing from Bro. Becton tonight....Kairos. The Ancient Greeks had two words for time Chronos and Kairos.While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time in between, a moment of undetermined period of time in which something special happens. What the special something is depends on who is using the word. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative nature. In the New Testament kairos means "the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts.  Bro. Becton spoke of Saul and that God brought him up to speed in a Kairos moment. To God a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. Kairos time will allow believers new or stagnant to be brought up to speed in a short amount of time.

Sophie gave her heart to Jesus on Valentine's Day

My baby received the Holy Ghost Last Saturday night and wanted to be baptized this Sunday. So excited when I realized it was Valentine's Day. No better Valentine than to make a commitment to the Lord and have all of your sins washed away in Jesus Name!MeMe, Paw Paw, Grandma, Grandpa, Mrs. Rhodes her Kindergarten teacher, The Taylors (friends from school Brian, Renea, and Will), Uncle Barry, Aunt Andrea, Kennedy, Mason,Cooper, Her Sunday School class, the 2 year old class all came to see her get baptized by her Daddy. Of course Me and Jaden and the rest of the church were there too:D

Drippy and Droopy

Day 2 of the baby girls cold. She if feeling much better today...still very drippy, but a lot less droopy. Tomorrow should turn out to be a snow day, if it is the kids will not have been to a solid week of school since the first of December. She has not been sick until now, we have just had holidays and snow days to keep us home. We have read AR books, watched movies, and she has been painting with watercolors. I found a site with free Photoshop brushes that has kept me occupied for two days. I have also been in constant prayer for several of my friends that have been going through very difficult times. When evil people arise we have to trust that the Lord is still in control and will use what was meant as evil to their good. I pray for comfort, healing, deliverance, and clarity for all of those constantly on my mind. Lord let your will be done on earth as IT IS in Heaven. We need a lot of Heaven on earth today.

On a humorous note a friend of mine sent out a text this morning with a slight typo.
It read:

It's the small thongs in life that makes someones day brighter: a smile, a gesture of kindness, a note...What have you done today?

Lucky Duck Thursday

Sophie is the Lucky Duck in Kindergarten this week. Tuesday I read to her class and made cupcakes (with no eggs) for snack. Today Daddy went and read "Daddy is a Doodlebug" to her class. When he finished she asked if they could sing a song. He said, "I don't know pumpkin we wil have to ask your teacher." Teacher says,"Sure is it a chapel song that we all know and can sing along with?" Not so much. Sophie broke out into the Gilligan's Island Themesong. LOVE HER! Next year before she is the special kid in first grade I will have to teach her The Fresh Prince from Bel Aire themesong.

Do you hear the Savior calling? If you can't hear His voice maybe there are too many others drowning Him out. My sister posted a song on her Facebook it came at a good time for me because I had forgotten all about it. I love the group Commissioned they were huge when I was a teenager. Their song When Love Calls You Home made me cry while driving every time I heard it on the radio. I also love Running Back To You by the same group. I thought I would post the lyrics today and wherever you are today in your walk I hope you always know that His arms are opened wide and you are truly not home unless you are in those arms.

Mmmmmm Lemony...Olfaction and Memory

Hello my name is Allison and I have been doing other things for the past 2 months. I have decided to take a break from the hurry scurry and write a little something. Just had a major memory come back to me from my childhood. I received this memory by way of a smell. Mixing up a batch of lemon jello just made me VERY happy. One of my favorite toys as a child was Strawberry Shortcake. I had a couple of her friends...Lemon Meringue and Angel Cake. Lemon Meringue was my favorite...my favorite color was yellow as a child...even though for all accounts and purposes it would seemed to have been pink. I had a pink canopy bed, pink walls...you get the picture, but whenever asked which crayon or construction paper color I would like I picked yellow. So I don't know if one has anything to do with the other but still as an adult some things yellow make me happy and all things lemony make me giddy. So I thought I would just jot this moment down before it become just a fleeting memory. I had a VERY happy childhood and anything that reminds me of it is a very good thing...I should make lemon jello more often:)
