Better Today!

Well, we let Sophie eat today. She had toast for breakfast and still feels fine. YEAH!!! She was dressed up like Tinkerbell and then Cinderella before I even had breakfast.
She is holding up pictures of her and her brother and asking me which one I like better. I said, " I like them both." She said, "You can't Daddy likes me and you like Jadey." I told her, " I like both of you. I have two kids and like both of them." She replied, " Well you can't." She took her pictures and left.

We danced with Cinderella!

Jerry was home today. When he got in from taking Jaden to school he found me and Sophie dressed up. She was the princess and I was Queen. We went into the kitchen where Rascal Flatts was singing "My Wish". I started dancing with her. Then I immediately teared up. I was dancing with Cinderella...actually someone more precious than Cinderella. I was dancing with my little gift from Heaven. I have one gift already in Heaven and I am thankful that the Lord let me borrow our two blessings for a little while. Jerry cut in and I went and let out the cry I was holding in and came back and took this picture of them. Jerry put her down and danced with me while I cried into his sweatshirt. After a chorus or so we picked her up and danced a little while longer. The only thing that would have made this moment sweeter would have to had Jaden there with us. My heart is full! Thank you Lord for moments like these!

The firefighter playground
Sophie wants to be a firefighter when she grows up. Our fire station has a playground and it is not very far from our house. We asked her what she wanted to do today since she was better and it was 72 degrees outside. First response...I want to go to the firefighter playground and have a picnic. So we ran through Taco Bell and bought our picnic and went to play.

Jaden finally got to play outside with his basketball goal. Love the weather and the sun still being up at 6:00. I taught Jaden how to play 2 square. We had a great time! He was so exhausted I did not think he was going to be able to stay awake to finish supper. He did and found his second wind while I was TRYING to watch American Idol. He had no trouble going to sleep when it was bedtime.

We had to call Daddy at work yesterday afternoon because Sophie said we needed to move. Our conversation went like this. "We don't have a chimney," said Sophie. I said,"Why do we need one?" Duh was the look on her face. "For Santa Claus to come down," she said. "Well how did he get in last year?"I said. "I don't know lets just move okay he needs a chimney." she said. So I said, "Let's call Daddy." He of course agreed with her that we needed to move. It would not do for Santa not to be able to come down a chimney. Well sorry Santa the house marketing is not that great right now if you are a seller. Maybe next year!
