First day of ballet-So cute!

So today I had a new experience...a real girlie one that I will always cherish...The first day of ballet lessons. Well tap, ballet, and tumbling. Okay so I get points off for not knowing about the needed tap shoes. Luckily one of the other mothers was on top of the game and found some tap shoes for Sophie. In this picture she is patiently awaiting instructions ...criss cross applesauce style.
Started off ballet time with a few stretches.First position
Not sure what this is called but she sure looks pretty and graceful doing it.Okay so the shoes have to go. I have ordered her ballet and tap shoes from the studio. Next week we should be all set in footwear. The slippers I got from Wal-Mart with the rest of her ensemble were just that... slippers. They slipped off of her feet while she was trying to do her spins...not fun. She had a lot of fun, listened attentively to the teacher, and picked up the moves very quickly. She is a week behind the other girls (they started last week). I am looking forward to our Wednesday mornings filled with pink girly fun.
