Jump roping. Jaden practiced and practiced for this event. His favorite place to practice was in Grandma and Grandpa's living room on the hardwood floors. His practice paid off. He was first place in the boys and had a jump off with this little girl (Taylor) and won the event in his class.

Sophie was able to participate in the events with First Grade... and buddy she was right in there with them. She had a ball.

For him it became all about the fruit!
Sophie went around that track four times...that is what the clothespins signify. She would have kept going but they stopped everybody.
For her it was about the wind blowing through her dog ears.
Okay tug-of-war was blood, sweat, and tears this year. The blood and tears were from the same source of pain...rope burn...and maybe a little because they lost to Ms. Ford's class (3 times).

Notice the two little girls not wearing green. Spiderman and Spidergirl are on the shirts and apparently they don't like those two particular superhereos, so they wouldn't wear them. They wore the Field Day shirts from last year instead. Okie Dokie. It's one day. Come on. Well maybe they will approve of the style next year. Maybe we should run it by them first, after all they are seven and cooler than us. O.K. I'll stop now.

Congratulations Jaden! Looks like you had a great field day and won first place in several events; way to go! Sophie, you did great too - you could probably out last most of us making laps around the track. :)
